AP Info Night is scheduled for Tuesday, April 30th from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. All students interested in taking an AP course in the 2019-2020 school year must attend with a parent/guardian.       Free Tutoring Daily from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm in Room 158. Stop by Room 158 for tutoring and college counseling after school on a daily basis.

Computer Engineering at CSUN

A group of 27 students visited CSUN. A generous parent donated 27 robots to the visiting students. All robots were assembled with the assistance of CSUN students who study Computer Engineering. Finally, the robots were programmed to follow a black line autonomously. Or cheat a little bit by using the remote control.....

SUMMER SCHOOL AT VHHS

Summer school will run June 19th-July 24th. The following classes will be offered: English 9A/B, English 10A/B, US History A/B, World History A/B, Spanish 1B, Spanish 2B, Geom B, Algebra 1B, Algebra 2A/B (taught in a 5 hour block). Letters to students will be mailed out the end of May indicating which course he/she is to take. Have your child see his/her counselor with any questions.

GRADUATION INFORMATION

Verdugo Graduation Information

Verdugo’s Graduation ceremony will take place Friday, June 7th at 6:00 p.m. Gates will open at 4:30pm.
• Graduates must report to the auditorium by 5:00p.m. Once seniors have filled his/her clearance form, he/she will be able to pick up caps and gowns and tickets starting on June 6th after the first rehearsal ceremony.
• There are 2 MANDATORY rehearsals. The first one will be on June 6th at 8:00am and the other one on June 7th at 8:00am. The senior breakfast will take place on June 6th after rehearsal.
• Each student will be allocated 5 tickets for graduation. These tickets will be YELLOW and will be bleacher seats. Extra tickets can be purchased for $15 at the student store before graduation and the day of the graduation at the Irma gate. Those tickets will be PINK and the seats will be on the football field. Tickets will also be sold on the day of the event at the gate on Irma starting at 4:30pm.
• Please keep in mind that NO balloons or blow-horns will be allowed into the event. Also, students should not decorate his/her graduation hat or wear any type of leis. Flat shoes are recommended, as the ceremony will take place on grass.
• Parking is available in various locations around the school. There is also street parking. Handicapped access will be located on Hillrose. CARPOOLING or UBERING is HIGHLY recommended, as parking is limited.
• Handicapped seating will be accommodated. 1 companion seat will be allowed.
