In the spirit of preparing our arts students for careers in the industry and as aligned with our Visual and Performing Arts Magnet proposal, we will be presenting a series of guest artist performances and/or presentations. The first event was Wednesday, January 27 during Period 3. There will be also be guest speaker events on February 17 and March 10, with a Literary Assembly on March 9. The first in the series was an assembly with voice-over actor Steve Staley. Mr. Staley presented a session on his experience and work in the industry. Included in the presentation was suggestions of what our students may do to take the path to this profession. Other scheduled workshops in the series include sessions by dancers, musicians, composers, music producers, visual/media artists, actors, and producers.
Steve Staley, also known as Steve Cannon, is an American voice actor. He is known for providing voices for Japanese anime and video games. Some of his roles include Shūhei Hisagi and Tōshirō Hitsugaya in Bleach, Daisuke Aurora in Heat Guy J, Shiro Amada in Mobile Suit Gundam: The 08th MS Team, Moondoggie in Eureka Seven, Kadajin Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, Neji Hyuga/Shibuki in Naruto, and Eiji Kikumaru in The Prince of Tennis.
