Verdugo Hills High School

Welcome to the VHHS PTSA (Parent Teacher Student Association)

I would like to thank all the parents, teachers and students that have attended the PTSA meetings.  As a result of your participation, we have a new board for the school year.   Through your on-going efforts in the coming school year, we will be able to provide the much needed support for such fun events as Senior Grad Night.

You may be familiar with PTAs (Parent Teacher Associations) from the elementary schools.  A PTSA is the same type of organization but it includes students.  We believe that the students (especially at the high school level) have lots of ideas and energy to contribute to making our school stronger.   (And it looks good on their college application!)

Please join us for our monthly association meeting on the fourth Monday of the month at 7:00 p.m. at Verdugo Hills High School in the Cafeteria.   Please see the school calendar for the specific date.

Executive board meetings typically occur prior to the association meetings on the same day.

Parents, teachers and students are invited to attend.   If you need additional language assistance, please let us know.

We can be reached by email or leave a message at the school at (818) 951-5400.

I look forward to the opportunity to work with the parents, teachers and students to make VHHS stronger through our active involvement.   See you at the next PTSA meeting.

Why should you join the PTSA?

There are other types of parent groups out there, but there is only one PTA/PTSA! Connecting families and schools for more than 115 years, PTA is the largest children's advocacy organization in the country. Here are just a few reasons to join PTSA:

o    Get Connected. There's no better way to know what's happening in your school, or to develop a relationship with your student’s teacher and principal.

o    Discover Great Resources. The PTA offers a variety of programs and materials for students, parents, families, schools and communities.

o    Speak Up. PTA gives you a "seat at the table" when important decisions are made about your school or your student’s school.

o    Be a Role Model. By becoming a PTA member, you'll be demonstrating the importance you place on education.

o    Enjoy Substantial Benefits. PTA members enjoy exclusive membership perks including discounts on school supplies, rental cars, Aquarium of the Pacific, LegoLand, Google Express, Grocery services, and more

o    Make a Difference! By working together, PTA members have helped advance local, state and national laws and policies to improve the education, health and safety of all children
