Online Resources for Students & Teachers

LibGuides and Pathfinders
LibGuides and Pathfinders are collections of resources or research tools organized by topic or themes.  The following links will direct you to collections of online resources the librarian has collected on the various topics.  If there is a resource that is missing, use the wishlist or email to make a suggestion to the librarian who will contact you when the list is posted. Please email me if there are broken links or if you have links to suggest for one of the lists. Stop by the library if you need assistance in using any of the resources.

These online outlets provide access to free ebooks and audiobooks.  Some require a login (such as Open eBooks and public libraries) or that the user meet certain criteria (such as Bookshare).

LGBTQ Literature and Resources
This website was created to compile print and digital literature and resources that feature LGBTQ characters, history, and issues.   While it focuses on highlighting items in the Verdugo Hills High School Library & Research Center’s collection, there are links to open access and general internet/community resources that are accessible for all.

This list contains tools for everything from screen capture to creating interactive lessons.

Here you will find links to test prep sites for standardized tests such as the SAT, ACT, and PSAT.
