VHHS remains the only high school to serve the Tujunga Valley community since opening its doors in September of 1937. VHHS has grown in size and scope of programs, but what has remained consistent is our commitment to excellence.

Over 50% of VHHS students participate in over 20 team sports, ranging from football to golf. Our long-standing tradition of excellence in athletics is rooted in our commitment to help develop off-the-field talents in our student-athletes that include cooperation, dedication, leadership and perseverance.

The course material I learned from Verdugo's extensive AP program, the skills I learned from the leadership roles I held on campus, and motivation I felt from the academic community of the STEMM Magnet have been invaluable to me as a college student. The time I spent at Verdugo truly prepared me for my college applications and for a bright future ahead at UCLA."
