VHHS remains the only high school to serve the Tujunga Valley community since opening its doors in September of 1937. VHHS has grown in size and scope of programs, but what has remained consistent is our commitment to excellence.

Over 50% of VHHS students participate in over 20 team sports, ranging from football to golf. Our long-standing tradition of excellence in athletics is rooted in our commitment to help develop off-the-field talents in our student-athletes that include cooperation, dedication, leadership and perseverance.

At the heart of what it means to be a Don lies in the relationships students will build and the once-in-a-lifetime moments they will share with friends who’ll become their extended family. At Verdugo Hills High School, students are celebrated for being exactly who they are, and who they will become.

We strive to make students feel immediately welcomed on campus. We want our students to understand that Verdugo Hills High School is their school and they have agency in what their high school experience will be.
